About
My name is Jussi Lepistö, and I’m a Finnish computer science student interested in game development, Python, user interfaces, usability, artificial intelligence and emergent behaviour among other things. I have been programming as a hobby on and off for over ten years. I started back then with Basic, moving on to C and C++ and finally Python. On the way I also learned some Visual Basic, Java, C# and Prolog. These days I’m mostly programming in Python.
In addition to programming and other computer-nerdy stuff, I spend my free time on capoeira, acrobatics, motorcycles, role playing and board games, and occasionally snowboarding in the winter.
This blog tells about my adventures in game development and related topics. My development environment is a desktop PC with Windows XP, and an iBook laptop with OS X. I’m at least aiming for platform-independent and/or portable code. For writing code, I’m primarily using Eclipse with the Pydev plugin, although for smaller scripts I just use a text editor or Idle, the official Python editor.
You can contact me by e-mail at jussi dot lepisto at brainfold dot org, or on the Freenode IRC network. My IRC nick is Knarkles, and I hang around on the #python3d channel.
